Laurel Decker, Mezzo Soprano

Laurel Collier Decker is a well known mezzo-soprano within the Tucson classical
music scene. She has performed as a soloist with the University of Arizona Collegium
Musicum, the Eastside Artist Series, the Tucson Messiah Sing-In, the Arizona Early
Music Society, the Tucson Masterworks Chorale, the Catalina Chamber Orchestra and
the Tucson Bach Marathon. Laurel began vocal studies at the age of 13 in her hometown
of Portland, Oregon, and pursued a degree in vocal performance at the University of
Arizona. She regularly performs with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, and is employed
as a Staff Singer at St. Philip's-in-the-Hills Episcopal Church. Ms Decker was a
founding member of the Tucson Chamber Artists. This holiday season she is performing
as alto soloist in Handel's Messiah with the Tucson Chamber Orchestra.
