Lyle H. Brown, Tenor

Lyle is a recent transplant from Detroit, where he was founding music director and conductor
of the chamber choir Vox Humana, choir director at First Unitarian Universalist Church of
Detroit and director of choirs at Oakland University. In addition to extensive doctoral studies
at Indiana University in choral conducting, music education and voice, Lyle was a conducting
fellow at the Dartmouth Conducting Institute. He achieved the master of music degree in choral
conducting from Western Michigan University and the bachelor of arts degree in music from Albion
College (Michigan). Lyle has been very active since moving to Tucson, singing in TCA, Arizona
Opera Chorus and the Sueños de Oro early music quartet under the direction
of Kathryn Mueller. He recently joined the choir at Saint
Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church as a staff singer.
