Michael Turnblom, Bass

Michael Turnblom completed his master's degree in choral conducting at the University of Arizona, where he also teaches Italian. He studied vocal performance at the University of Michigan and University of Utah and has performed on concerts nationally and internationally. He is a composer and member of ASCAP, and in 2008 the Tucson Chamber Artists premiered his sublime setting of "O magnum mysterium." Michael currently directs the Institute Chorale at the Tucson Institute of Religion. Soon he will complete certification studies through Pima Community College, with immediate plans to teach choral music in secondary schools.
