Dennis Tamblyn, Tenor

Dennis Tamblyn received a B.S. in biochemistry and molecular biophysics before changing career paths and getting his B.M. in voice at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Dennis also received his M.M. in voice at the Univeristy of Northern Colorado. Currently Dennis is pursing his DMA in voice with a minor in stage directing from the University of Arizona. In 2011, Dennis was honored to sing the National Anthem for the "Together We Thrive" event in Tucson, Arizona, in which President Obama was in attendance. Dennis has recently performed such roles as Sr. Pirelli in Sondheim's Sweeney Todd, the title role in Britten's Albert Herring, Don Ottavio in Mozart's Don Giovanni and Sam Kaplan in Weill's Street Scene. Dennis is also a Teaching Artist for the Opening Minds through the Arts program through Tucson Unified School District. Dennis has performed with such opera companies as Southern Arizona Opera, Phoenix Opera, Opera New Jersey, Opera Classica (Wiesbaden, Germany) Opera Fort Collins, Opera Colorado, and Arizona Opera.
