Mireille Hofmann-Jacquod, Soprano
Mireille Hofmann Jacquod, soprano, was born in Switzerland. She earned a master of music degree in vocal performance from the Lausanne Conservatory of Music and a master's degree in literature at the University of Lausanne. She has performed extensively as a soloist throughout Switzerland and the Netherlands. From 1997 to 2000, she attended classes at Yale University, where she worked with the Yale Camerata and as a soloist with the Recital Choir. During this time she studied with Ashley Putnam in New York. She taught voice and French until 2005 when she moved with her husband and twin boys to Tucson, where they were soon joined by a daughter. She recently returned from Switzerland where she performed as a chorister and soloist in Bach's Magnificat and Charpentier's Te Deum as well as new works from contemporary Swiss composers.
