Leslie Hochman, Soprano

Soprano Leslie Hochman has been praised for her "lyrically beautiful, vocally expressive, and robust" singing. As a chamber musician and concert soloist, Leslie has appeared with Conspirare (Austin), Seraphic Fire and the New World Symphony (Miami), Chamber Music International (Dallas), the Toledo Choral Society, and the Santa Fe Desert Chorale. As an active opera singer, she has performed with Tri-Cities Opera, Toledo Opera, the Caramoor Festival, Connecticut Grand Opera, and Regina Opera in roles including Hanna in
The Merry Widow, Mimì in
La Bohème, Pamina in
Die Zauberflöte, Violetta in
La Traviata, Belinda in
Dido and Aeneas, and Suor Genovieffa in
Suor Angelica. Upcoming performances include Bach's
Magnificat at the church of St. Vincent Ferrer in New York City, where she currently serves as a section leader, and the role of La maestra delle novizie in
Suor Angelica with Eastern Festival Opera.
