Lyn Curry, Alto

Lyn M. Curry was born and raised in rural Illinois and graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa in 2006 with a degree in music education. She taught high school choir and class guitar and coached track and field in Yuma, Arizona for two years and currently lives in Tempe while she pursues her master's degree in music education from Arizona State University. Lyn is serving as the teaching assistant for the ASU Symphonic Chorale under Dr. Gregory Gentry; she also sings with the ASU Chamber Singers under Dr. David Schildkret. In October of 2008, Lyn had her professional singing debut with The Phoenix Symphony and The Phoenix Symphony Chorus in Haydn's
Creation. She continues to sing with The Phoenix Symphony Chorus. In addition to singing, Lyn loves to cook, laugh, tease her cat Finé and play slow pitch softball. After earning her master's degree, Lyn hopes to teach music at an international school in South America while sharpening her Spanish-speaking skills.
