Casey Cook is a Tucson-based musician moving fluently between the fields of conducting, composition, and vocal performance. As a conductor, Casey has served as the assistant director of the Tucson Chamber Artists for the past three seasons, and is completing the DMA program in choral conducting at the University of Arizona. He holds a bachelor's degree in music education from Miami University, and a master's degree in choral conducting from the University of South Florida. He is also sought-after as a guest conductor, clinician and adjudicator.
Casey's compositional endeavors are beginning to bring him acclaim from around the country. In 2006 he was named the composer-in-residence for the Arizona Science Center, launching an award-winning compositional career that has seen performances throughout the state, including a recent commission for the largest pipe organ in Arizona. Future premieres are scheduled for New York, Boston and Chicago.
As a singer, Casey is in demand as a low bass, including recent performances with the Tallis Scholars in Seattle and a master class with Simon Carrington in Tuscany.
