Leann Conley, Soprano

Soprano Leann Conley is active both as a singer and conductor, currently serving as Director of Music for First Congregational United Church of Christ in Santa Rosa, California. She is a seasoned member of the Oregon Bach Festival Chorus and has participated in programs including Bel Canto Northwest Vocal Institute, Seattle Academy of Baroque Opera, Sedona Academy of Chamber Singers, and the Festivalensemble Stuttgart of the Internationale Bachakademie. Leann was winner in the 2010 Arizona NATS Graduate Competition and 2008 Coeur D'Alene Symphony Young Artist Competition, and was a finalist in the MTNA National Young Artist Voice Competition. She has performed as a soloist under such esteemed conductors as Matthew Halls and Helmuth Rilling. Recent operatic roles include La Femme in Poulenc's one-woman tragedy,

Street Scene, Susanna in
Le Nozze di Figaro, Sophie in
Der Rosenkavalier, and concert appearances as a soloist with the Coeur D'Alene Symphony, Flagstaff Symphony Orchestra, and Tacoma Youth Chorus. She recently earned a master's degree in choral conducting from Northern Arizona University. While attending NAU, she led the University Singers and assistant-conducted the Shrine of the Ages Choir under the direction of Edith Copley. She holds a bachelor's degree in voice from Pacific Lutheran University.
