Lyle H. Brown, Tenor

L.B. comes to us from Detroit, where he was founding music director and conductor of the chamber choir Vox Humana, choir director at First Unitarian Universalist Church of Detroit and director of choirs at Oakland University. In addition to extensive doctoral studies at Indiana University in choral conducting, music education and voice, Lyle was a conducting fellow at the Dartmouth Conducting Institute. He achieved the master of music degree in choral conducting from Western Michigan University and the bachelor of arts degree in music from Albion College (Michigan). L.B. has been very active since moving to Tucson in 2006, singing in TCA, Arizona Opera Chorus and Wieck Chamber Singers, serving as a staff singer at St. Philip's in the Hills Episcopal Church, as well as associate directing and singing tenor and alto in Prometheus Unbound early music quartet. He has recently been appointed Choir Director at Mountain Vista Unitarian-Universalist Congregation of Northwest Tucson and teaches private voice at Tucson Academy of Music and Dance.
