Lucik Aprahamian, Assistant Conductor & Mezzo Soprano

Lucik Aprahamian is honored to be the assistant conductor of the Tucson Chamber Artists. She is a DMA candidate in conducting at the UA where she studies choral conducting with Bruce Chamberlain and Elizabeth Schauer, and orchestral conducting with Thomas Cockrell and Charles Bontrager. During her studies at the UA she had honor of being the assistant conductor of the University Community Choir, and was the chorusmaster for the UA production of Mozart's Cos“ fan tutte. Before arriving to Tucson Ms. Aprahamian was actively conducting in the San Francisco Bay Area where her interests lead her to opera production. Most recently she premiered composer David Evan Jones's new chamber opera, The Rehearsal, and currently works for Ensemble Parall¸le, a contemporary opera company in San Francisco. Ms. Aprahamian received her Masters Degree in 2003 from the University of California, Santa Cruz, where she studied with Nicole Paiement. She is presently the Choral Director at St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Tucson.
